Slurry Reels
Specifically
designed for the land application of Wastewater
Advantages
and Benefits
quick
and easy to set up
operates
unattended
applies liquid
waste with superior uniformity to stationary gun systems
almost
totally eliminates soil compaction problems associated with tank wagons
portable
- can easily be towed from one location to another
turn wastewater
into a valuable asset by doing an excellent job of irrigation
Drive Unit
Two styles
of drives are used on Ag-Rain Slurry-Reels. The tube rewind is powered
by either:
an Over
Head Valve
gasoline engine
or a water
drive turbine motor
If wastewater
is free of solids (e.g. partially treated slurry), a turbine drive Slurry-Reel
will operate very efficiently. In these cases a turbine is usually preferred
for its simplicity and reduced maintenance requirement.

Performance
shown in the above table is based on clean water. Actual performance may
vary depending on the solids content of the waste water being applied.
*Recommended width is based on Taper Bore Nozzle performances. The distance
of throw with Ring Nozzles will be slightly less. Consult the factory
for performance details.
For the application of waste water/slurry, it is recommended that the
lane spacing
width is increased by 15% to 20% to reduce the possibility of excess application
in the overlap areas.
