Slurry Reels

Slurry Reels

Specifically designed for the land application of Wastewater

Advantages and Benefits

  • quick and easy to set up
  • operate unattended
  • apply liquid waste with superior uniformity to stationary gun systems
  • almost totally eliminate soil compaction problems associated with tank wagons
  • very portable - can easily be towed from one location to another
  • turn wastewater into a valuable asset by doing an excellent job of irrigation

Drive Unit

Two styles of drive are used on Ag-Rain Slurry-Reels. The tube rewind is powered by either:

  • an OHV gasoline engine
  • or a water drive turbine motor

If wastewater is free of solids (e.g. partially treated slurry), a turbine drive Slurry-Reel will operate very efficiently. In these cases a turbine is usually preferred for its simplicity and reduced maintenance requirement.

Performance shown in the above table is based on clean water. Actual performance may vary depending on the solids content of the waste water being applied.
*Recommended width is based on Taper Bore Nozzle performances. The distance of throw with Ring Nozzles will be slightly less. Consult the factory for performance details.
For the application of waste water/slurry, it is recommended that the width is increased by 15% to 20% to reduce the possibility of excess application in the overlap areas.
